This is the black widow spider that has taken up residence right next to the front door to my house. She’ll be evicted very soon.
Black widows are actually pretty common here, in this part of Arizona. I’ve found more than my share of them. This is the fourth one I’ve found living right next to an outside doorway. They don’t seem to be aggressive toward people, only defensive when necessary. But, that’s my own observation.
