- The large marble Jesus statue at the visitors center of the Mormon Temple.
- The annual Christmas lights display at the Mormon Temple.
- The huge traveling American Gothic statues. They were at this corner on Main and Macdonald in downtown Mesa for a few months. Then, they moved on (I think, to California.)
- A sunrise from the balcony of my old apartment.

- Kids are always getting up next to the dinosaur statue outside the Museum of Natural History. The three on the right are mine.
- This is the black widow spider that has taken up residence right next to the front door to my house. She’ll be evicted very soon.
- Black widows are actually pretty common here, in this part of Arizona. I’ve found more than my share of them. This is the fourth one I’ve found living right next to an outside doorway. They don’t seem to be aggressive toward people, only defensive when necessary. But, that’s my own observation.
